1.THE DIVINE MESSAGE - MESSAGE FROM POOJYASHREE SHREE AMMA - THE ULTIMATE LIBERATOR BESTOWED BY LORD SHRI KRISHNA!

Radhekrishna!

Blessings to one and all in the world.

Nowadays, nobody lives with peace and happiness. Why is it so? All the people are living with desires and greed. People are searching the materialistic happiness only which means everybody lives in their dreams world. When one wants to be a very rich man, then their motive is only about money. Some people are living with 'garvam' (pride) about their educational qualifications. They want to live with real happiness, but they are simply acting with their temporary worldly exposures. These things alone cannot fulfill their lives and they keep searching for 'santhosham'(true happiness). Everybody thinks in the world, is it possible to get 'santhosham'?

I am telling you all "Yes, it is possible!!". If everybody does 'Nama japam' (chanting of Lord's name) wholeheartedly, they will get real happiness, peace, enjoyment and pleasure.Attempt it and enjoy the supreme bliss.

Radhekrishna.......

2.MAHATMAS - NEW BHAKTACHARITRAS EACH MONTH

Swami Nammazhwar

Swami Nammazhwar

Radhekrishna! Dear bhaktas you must have enjoyed the great Swami Ramanujar's divya charithram last month. Swami Ramanujar was very much impressed by Swami Nammazhwar.Once Swami Ramanuja went to Azhwar Thirunagari. There he met one washerman, where the washerman requested Swami Ramanujar to (give ashirwadhams) bless his sons. Swami Ramanujar accepted the humble request of that washerman and immediately the washerman called his sons.Swami Ramanuja was very much excited after hearing the names of the washerman's sons. The names of the children were Sadagopan, Kaari Maaran And Vagulabaranan. After hearing, those names itself, for a moment, Swami Ramanujar regretted being a sanyasi(celibate) and hence could not have children and give them those names of Swami Nammazhwar and enjoy by calling his children with that names.Radhekrishna………………

Parents Sri Kaariyar & Srimathi Udaiynagaiyar
Place Thiruckurugoor (Thirunelveli, Tamilnadu, India)
Birth star Visakam
Birth month Vaikasi
Birth year Bahudanya
Caste 4th varna
Incarnation of (amsam) Senai Mudhaliyar

Born on the banks of Thamirabarani river in Tamilnadu

The birth of Swami Nammazhwar was already quoted in Srimadh Bhagawatham 12th conto

This is the power of Swami Nammazhwar's names. The names of Swami Nammazhar made Swami Ramanujar himself to regret being a sanyasi… when the names itself is so powerful, imagine how powerful and strong should be the personality and history of Swami Nammazhwar.

According to Hinduism, a child before birth in the mother's womb is in a position with its hands bowing to GOD. At this point of time the child knows all about its previous births, who it was, what it was and everything else. It is called a 'Rishi' at that point of time. But the moment it comes out of the mothers womb a vayu (air) called 'sadam' engulfs it and it entangles the child in he world of Maya, says 'Sukabrahmarishi' in Shrimad Bhagavatam.

Swami Nammazhwar was born to Udaiya Nangaiyar and Kariyar, at a place called Tirunagari on the banks of the river Tamraparni in Tamil Nadu. It is now called Alwar Thirunagari. When baby Nammazhwar was born, Sadam vayu came to engulf him also in this Maya. But Swami Nammazhwar made a sound in anger and drove away the sadam vayu. Because of this miraculous incident Swami Nammazhwar was also known as 'Sadagopan'.It might seem very unbelievable to you and you may laugh. But this is the truth and to realize this you have to do bhakti.

After his birth, Swami Nammazhwar never behaved like a normal baby. He did not cry, did not laugh, did not drink milk and did not do any activity, which any normal child would do. Seeing this his parents got worried. After 12 days they took Swami Nammazhwar to a temple in Thirukurugoor where the deity was 'Polindunindrapiran' and they shared their worries with the bhagavan about this child's peculiar unworldly behavior. At that time a miracle happened. Swami Nammazhwar who was just a 12 days old baby started crawling towards a tamarind tree in the temple. The tamarind tree was infact an incarnation of 'Adisheshan' (the divine serpent-god of Bhagavan Shri Krishna) who had been waiting from years together for Swami Nammazhwar's arrival. There was a big hole in the tamarind tree. Swami Nammazhwar got into the hole and sat in a position of padmasana and started doing meditation. Most of the people who do meditation do it hardly for 15-20 minutes or one hour or to the maximum a few hours. But are you aware how long did infant Swami Nammazhwar meditate? Swami Nammazhwar who was just 12 days old sat in meditation for 16 years i.e., 192 months, which is equal to 832 weeks, which inturn comes to 1,40,256 hours.

Although he was meditating continuously for 16 years, without any food, water, sleep or any kind of worldly activities, his body was growing properly. Because of his unworldly activities and yet growing normally, the parents named him as 'Maran'. Because of his father's name as Kariyar, Swami Nammazhwar was named as 'Kaarimaran'. For 16 long years the blessed parents guarded the child by keeping turns, with full enthusiasm, zeal and zest.

They tied Swami Nammazhwar's hairlocks with Magizhampu flowers and also put garlands of the same flowers on his body.Because of that Swami Nammazhwar was also named as 'Vagulabharanan' (magizhampu is also known as vagulapushpam ) This is how the parents are supposed to be. Even if the child is not fulfilling the materialistic needs of the parents, the parents have to take care of all the needs of the child. These parents are really supposed to be the role models for all the parents in this world. Swami Nammazhwar's parents just considered him as a child of Bhagavan Shri Krishna and not as their own child. This is the way of parenting the children.

At that period, an elderly Brahmin named 'Madhurakaviazhwar' of Thirukoloor (a place nearby the birth place of Swami Nammazhwar) had gone on a pilgrimage. While he was in Ayodhya one fine night, he saw a bright light in southern direction. He thought that there might be a fire in the city or in the forest. But Madhurakaviazhwar saw the light for 3 consecutive nights. So he was very much interested to know the actual reason from where the light originated from. He felt it must be a divine light, so he started travelling towards south. As the light was visible only at night he followed the light during the night time and slept during the daytime. He went to Tirupathi, Srirangam but still the light was visible, therefore he continued his journey more towards the south. At last he reached Thirukurugoor. He enquired to some villagers that was there any speciality in this village. All the villagers said that the speciality of their village was 'Swami Nammazhwar'. Madurakaviazhwar went to the temple and saw Swami Nammazhwar sitting in the hole of a tamarind tree in all his luster and glory. Sri Madhurakaviazhwar was greatly amazed by the young 16 year old Swami Nammazhwar. He pelted a stone on the ground to test whether Swami Nammazhwar could hear. At that time Swami Nammazhwar opened his divine eyes after 16 years of astounding meditation. Sri Madhurakaviazhwar could feel and see the radiance and the divine power of 16 years of meditation in Swami Nammazhwar's lotus eyes. Now Madhurakaviazhwar wanted to see whether Swami Nammazhwar could speak. So he asked a great question related to human body and the soul.

SETHTHADHIN VAYITRIL SIRIYADHU PIRANDHAAL ETHTHAI THINRDU ENGE KIDACKUM?

(This is the exact question asked by Sri Madhurakavi azhwar in Tamil language) Madhurakaviazhwar had asked 'when a tiniest living thing enter into a non living thing what would be the effect on the living thing and where it would be?' Though this question sounds confusing it carries a hidden message in it.

ATHTHAI THINDRU ANGE KIDACKUM!

Swamy Nammazhwar smiled very beautifully and replied the tiniest living thing would stay in the non living thing and experience the effects of the non living thing.

The living thing The soul
The non-living thing The body
The effect Experiences of body in the worldwide things

On hearing this Sri Madhurakaviazhwar was so happy that tears rolled down his cheeks. His happiness knew no bounds. He immediately fell on Swamy Namazhwar's feet. The happiness and peace of mind which Sri Madhurakaviazhwar could not find even after going for a pilgrimage was found by him in Swamy Nammazhwar's tejas. Wholeheartedly Sri Madhurakaviazhwar started doing kainkaryam (service) to Swamy Nammazhwar just like a mother to her child, a wife to her husband.

Swamy Nammazhwar got the divine darshan of Bhagawan Sri Krishna in all his forms. He started telling all his experiences by way of singing pasurams (divine songs). As Swamy Nammazhwar was singing, Sri Madhurakaviazhwar went on writing those divine songs on palm tree leaves.Sometimes while singing Swamy Nammazhwar used to go into samadhi. At that time Sri Madhurakaviazhwar took care of Swamy Nammazhwar's needs as a parent who would take care of his child.Swamy Nammazhwar lived on this earth for only 35 years.Even today his divine songs melt everyone's heart.

4.THE DIVINE SONGS - DHIVYAPRABHANDHAM

Naalaayira Dhivyaprabandham

In Tamilnadu (India), there is a place called Veeranarayanapuram. In that sacred place, one brahmin family lived in a higher spiritual manner. They were very much interested in doing kaingaryams (services) to the Bhagawan. The Bhagawan(Lord) in Veeranarayanapuram is called 'Mannanaar'.In that sacred family one child was born. They named the child as Nadhamuni. Sri Nadhamuni was deeply involved with Mannanaar. He was interested only in high spiritual life. He did not care for the worldly needs. He was not at all interested in worldly material life. All he wanted to do was only kaingaryams to Mannanaar.

At the proper age, all the brahmin rituals were done to Sri Nadhamuni. In Hindu religion brahmins must have kudumi (hair tuft on shaven head, also known as choti in hindi). At a particular age, they must wear the sacred thread to do all the meditations and thapas. It is the rule of vedham. The hindus must follow it. It is not a humbug. It is pure science. Those who are following the rules given in the shastras can lead a happy life.Sri Nadhamuni obeyed all these rules and regulations of hinduism as it is. Those who are wearing the sacred thread and doing meditation will have tremendous powers to rule the world.Nowadays all the psychologists, scientists and doctors are telling these things. But long ago itself the great hinduism invented these ideas and utilised the extra-ordinary mental powers to lead a healthy and happy life. That is the greatness of hinduism.

Sri Nadhamuni realised himself and Bhagawan by meditations and namajapams. At a particular age, he also got married. After the marriage also, Sri Nadhamuni engaged himself in doing kaingaryams to Sri Mannanaar. His wife also gave proper support for him to do the kaingaryams. They really enjoyed the perfect married life just because of bhagawath dhyanam and namajapam. One fine day when Sri Nadhamuni was in the temple, some brahmins from Thiruckudanthai (Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu) came there and sang ten songs from Thiruvaimozhi i.e.divine songs composed Swami Nammazhwar in Divya Prabandham.

Sri Nadhamuni was very much impressed by those divine songs of Azhwar. He felt the sanctity of Bhagawan in those great songs. He lost himself while listening to the divine songs. He very much longed to learn those great spiritual divine songs. The last line of the song said that these were the ten songs out of the 1000 songs. He prayed & requested to those brahmins to teach him those 1000 songs. But unfortunately those brahmins replied that they were aware of those ten songs only. Sri Nadhamuni was very much disappointed. Finally he learnt those ten songs from them.Nevertheless, Sri Nadhamuni was craving to learn those 1000 songs at any cost. Therefore, he went to divyadesams (holy places) such as Srirangam, Thirumalai, Kancheepuram, Thiruckudanthai and many more. However, all the efforts were in vain.

Sri Nadhamuni went to Azhwarthirunagari (Thiruckurugoor, Thirunelveli, Tamilnadu) the birth place of Swami Nammazhwar. There Sri Nadhamuni searched for Thiruvaimozhi. However, all the brahmins in that Thiruckurugoor told that they do not know any Thiruvaimozhi pasuram. However, they replied that they had heard about Thiruvaimozhi through their elders only. Sri Nadhamuni was greatly disappointed by the reply. Still he had the confidence that he would get that Thiruvaimozhi with the blessings of Swami Nammazhwar. See! how much confidence Sri Nadhamuni had on Swami Nammazhwar and Bhagawan.

The efforts of bhaktas won't go in vain. One elderly brahmin gave a valuable suggestion to Sri Nadhamuni. When Swami Nammazhwar sang those Thiruvaimozhi, it was written in the palm tree leaves by Srimadhurakaviazhwar of Thiruckolur. Therefore, the brahmin suggested Sri Nadhamuni to go to Thiruckolur, as somebody might be aware of Thiruvaimozhi over there.Sri Nadhamuni went to Thiruckolur with the blessings acquired from Swami Nammazhwar and the Bhagawan in Thiruckurugoor.Sri Nadhamuni reached Thiruckolur (nearby Azhwarthirunagari, Thirunelveli, Tamilnadu) the birth place of Sri Madhurakavi Azhwar.Sri Nadhamuni prayed to Srimadhurakavi Azhwar and Vaiththa Maa Nidhi perumal of that divyadesam.Vaiththa Maa Nidhi means the permanent big treasure.

In Thiruckolur, Sri Nadhamuni met Sri Parangusa Dasar of Sri Madhurakavi Azhwar heriditary. He taught Sri Madhurakavi Azhwars 'kanni nun siruth thambu' to Sri Nadhamuni and told to repeat those 11 songs before Sri Nammazhwar for 12000 times. If he does, so Swami Nammazhwar would teach him Thiruvaimozhi.Sri Nadhamuni became very much excited and learnt 'kanni nun siruth thambu' from Sri Parangusadasar.Once again Sri Nadhamuni went back to Thiruckurugoor and chanted 'kanni nun siruth thambu' for 12000 times before Swami Nammazhwars vigraham. After doing this chanting Swami Nammazhwar gave dharshan to Sri Nadhamuni and taught him all the pasurams sung by all the azhwars.Sri Nadhamuni was excited, because he searched only for 1000 Thiruvaimozhibut he got 3892 pasurams.

The sincere efforts taken by Sri Nadhamuni gave us these great divine sacred spiritual songs. With these 4000 divyapprabandhams, anyone can realize himself and at the same time, they can easily feel God's sanctity with them. After learning, nalayira divyapprabandham from Swami Nammazhwar Sri Nadhamuni came back to Veeranarayanapuram.Sri Nadhamuni added musical notes to the nalayira divyapprabandham and taught it to his disciples. He ordered his disciples to spread those sacred songs to all the people to get rid from this samsara sagara.

This is the secret story behind this nalayira divyapprabadham.Do you want to know what is the messages told in this nalayira divyapprabandham? Do you want to feel the sanctity of bhakta's divine words? just wait for the month of June 2004..... Till then Radhekrishna.......

5.SPRING OF SPIRITUAL SHOWERS - EXPERIENCES OF BHAKTAS, DISCIPLES OF POOJYASHREE SHREE AMMA, OUR GURUJIAMMA

An experience of a Shishyai (disciple) from Mumbai, in her own words.

RadheKrishna

Jai Shree Poojyashree Shree Amma

First of all let me introduce myself as one among the disciples of Her Holiness Sathguru Shree Poojyashree Shree Amma and would like to offer my respectful obeisance and ananthakodi Radhekrishna at the lotus feet of Guruji Amma.I take the pleasure of writing a few lines about her sathsangs and bhajans, the importance of namajapam, what is bhakti and how to lead a happy life as I have experienced the importance of all these with the blessings of my Gurus. One can definitely overcome their sufferings if they surrender themselves at the lotus feet of our Guruji Amma and have blind faith on her. We took mantra upadesam and started following the path in Bhakti as instructed by our Guru.Guruji Amma has many disciples having many experiences and I would like to put forth one of the very best experience I had in my life.

There are 27 birth stars (star signs in Hindu shastra) and the each star is followed with some proverbs/sayings still believed by people. But not many people know that by doing naamajapam the adverse effects of any stars / grahas (planets) can be nullified. No stars and planets are powerful than Bhagwan and His namajapam will change all the ill effects. My daughter was born in the Moolam star. Accordingly, the Moolam star is not good for a female child. We encountered many problems when we started finding a suitable match for her. Nearly two to three years we were in search of a prospective groom for her. We attended all the marriage meets conducted by the various associations & marriage bureaus. We approached many astrologers as well and we were behind all sorts of matrimonial sources. But everything was in vain.

Even whenever we used to find a suitable horoscope & contact the groom's family, they used to reject our alliance as their astrologers had guided them not to accept Moolam girls. They were afraid that if Moolam star girl is married into the family, it may affect the life of the groom's father adversely, as the saying associated with Moolam was likewise. So many cases we approached and the same reply we got from all.The sufferings and miseries I silently suffered cannot be explained in words. I was shattered mentally and thought my daughter will never get married. All my family members and myself were totally distressed.I prayed to God feverently to get a suitable match for my daughter. My family members stood by with me in my search and each one of them tried and helped me but all in vain.

God answered my prayers. It is not a miracle. It is a real experience. We met Gurujiamma's disciple (Mahaan Brahmashree Gopalavallidasan) who asked us to chant and told us that it is the only way to get permanent solution to all our tribulations. All the doors were closed and as we had no other option, we thought of trying this alternative also.Soon we started realizing power the power of Naamajapam, i.e. chanting of Lord's name.Within a few months Gurujiamma sent her disciple (Mahaan Brahmashree Gopalavallidasan) to our house and he performed 'Rukmini Kalyanam' (a function wherein devotees witness and celebrate the wedding of Lord Shri Krishna with Rukmini).

The very next day we received a phone call from a person whom we had met in a marriage & we were to go to their place to collect the horoscope of the boy. But before we reached the boy's house to exchange the horoscopes of our children, a friend of them had already given my daughter's horoscope to the boy's parents. It is not a coincidence. It is only the grace of Gurujiamma. We neither had done sincere naamajapam nor did we have any wholehearted confidence in chanting but inspite of this, Gurujiamma had showered her wholehearted krupai (blessings) on us. The horoscopes matched and within a month, the engagement took place...In less than three months, the marriage date was also fixed.

The marriage took place in a grand manner.Grand in the sense not luxurious but with full of sathsangam and Gurujiamma's bhajans.Everyone who attended the marriage was blessed with Gurujiamma's krupa. We did not face any problem. Marriages are always very big occasions in each and every family in this world.Although it is one of the happiest occasions, it also has a lot of tensions and confusions. Also, if the marriage is of your sibling or daughter then you all are very much aware of the huge ongoing tensions, confusions and mental tiredness involved before, during and after the marriage.

Even I was of the same mindset before like the others who are unaware of Gurujiamma and her miraculous deeds, but this marriage was a great divine spiritual experience.I won't say that there were no tensions involved. But the difference was that we did not get confused and we didn't feel the tension at all. Each and every work took place very smoothly and we all felt very much relaxed and could enjoy each and every moment of the marriage.Bhagawan Shri Krishna and the krupai of Gurujiamma were always with us, which cleared all our confusions and drove away all our tensions.

The presence of a divine power between us, always helping us, encouraging us and making us happy was clearly felt. All felt the sanctity of Bhagawan Shri Krishna's presence.Even the food prepared for the marriage was first offered to Bhagawan Shri Krishna and then served as 'prasadam' to the Guests, friends and relatives attending the wedding. Everyone appreciated the quality and taste of food served. This blessed marriage ceremony was a great occasion still remembered by most of the attendees. Now my daughter leads a very happy married life and is blessed with a 3 months old baby girl who is also the disciple of Gurujiamma as she got her mantropadesam immediately on birth itself. A very lucky and blessed girl!!!!!

Not only my daughter, but also one of her friend at the age of 32 got married only because of Gurujiamma's grace. Many other families experienced the grace of Gurujiamma in a similar manner. There might be many parents facing the similar problems and searching for a way to come out of it.

As I have personally experienced the grace of Guruji Amma I can very confidently say that those who have blind faith on Guruji Amma and would surrender themselves at the Lotus Feet Of Guruji Amma and follow the advise given would get eternal relief from all their sufferings, miseries and would defenitely enjoy the real happiness in life. Be rest assured of this.Radhekrishna....Radhekrishna....Radhekrishna.
