Radhekrishna! Human life is gifted only for doing bhakti.No one has the right to waste the human life. Those who are wasting the human life are facing all kinds of sufferings and sorrows. If you want unlimited happiness without any problem then you must do bhakti.There is no alternative at all.Doing bhakti is something great in this human life.If you want to be a human then you must be a bhakta.
But how can we do bhakti? Is there is any special method or any saint who has told anything about bhakti? These are the very common and frequently asked questions by millions of people in this world.For those people, Naradha Maharishi wrote a book called "Naradha Bhakti Soothram".In that, Sri Naradha Maharishi describes 11 types of bhakti bhava. Among the 11, the first method or bhava is "gunamaahaathmyaasakthi" (gunamaahaathmya aasakthi).
'Gunamahaathmyaasakthi' means "interest in listening to the behaviour or qualities (gunangal) of bhagawan". Everybody in this world is interested in good behaviour or qualities of other human beings. When hearing good qualities of human beings itself gives us so much of joy, then just think the benefits of hearing bhagwan Sri Krishna's qualities. Kalyaana gunangal means the great qualities without any stain. At the same time when you hear bhagwan Sri Krishna's kalyaana gunangal, it will give you immense happiness and it will surely wash away all your sins.Because bhagawan Sri Krishna is otherwise known as "kurai ondrum illadha govinda"(Tiruppavai).Kurai ondrum illadha govinda means govinda without any flaw.
When you hear something without any mistake, the human mind is automatically interested to know more about it. Interest leads to aggressive thirst.Aggressive thirst leads to the ways of achieving it.The ways of achieving in turn leads to reach people who knows better about the same. Finally, the human mind prepares to surrender to the people guiding to achieve that good thing.When you hear bhagwan's kalyaana gunangal your mind automatically desires to surrender to a sathguru.
When you are surrendering yourself to a sathguru that is the starting point of realising the need of the soul.The need of the soul is enjoying bhagwan at all times and conditions without forgetting him. Many great bakthas have told about the mahimai of hearing bhagwan Sri Krishna's kalyaana gunangal. In Srimath Bhagawatham Srimathi Rukmini sings the mahimai of hearing bhagwan Sri Krishna's kalyaana gunangal while she wrote a letter to bhagwan Sri Krishna.

Meaning : Hey Achyutha!!! Bhuvanasundhara (Mr.Universe)!!!! Hearing your qualities with heart and soul ensures vanishing the three types of sufferings of human beings.(meaning of half sloka only).So if you want to be free from these three types of sufferings then you just hear bhagwan's qualities or behaviour (kalyaana gunangal).

Bharatha Bhoomi is the holy land with so many bhaktas(devotees).When we go through the Indian history there must be a bhakta in every period.That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way.Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Bhagawan.By hearing or reading bhaktas divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.
The purpose of human life is to enjoy the bhagwan at all times without failure. It is possible for everyone if they fully surrendered themselves to a sathguru [spiritual master]. Those who have surrendered themselves to the lotus feet of a sathguru are eligible for leading a happy life. Yes! This is the truth. No way. You have to accept it. Even though if you are accepting it or not it is the real fact. But it is very tough to accept the reality as it is. But young Sakhubai accepted this great reality of surrendering to a sathguru.
After got mantra upadesam from the elderly Brahmin Sakhubai's attitude towards life was totally changed. She felt bhagwan's sanctity with her at all times and at all conditions. So gradually she came out of the unwanted worldly dreams.She enjoyed her most of the time by chanting bhagwan's name. Because of this way of attitude she didn't get any time to spend with the people for gossiping and talking unwanted worthless things. So many people waste their precious time, gossiping. But what is the use? Its absolutely useless.They don't know the real value of the time. The precious thing in this world is time. Nobody has the right to waste time.
But bhaktas know the real value of time. So they don't want to waste their human life.But unfortunately the people around the bhaktas misunderstood them and criticizing them without any reason. Hare Krishna!!! Young Sakhubai also faced the similar problems in her life. Her friends started taunting her. Sakhubai's relatives started criticizing her and her bhakti. But Sakhubai never cared about these people.She just lived for the sake of Bhagwan Sri Krishna.
Sakhubai spent her time in doing all kind of house work with chanting. She respected all the elders. She treated all the people with respect. She never thought or dreamed about a man in her life. Because she was totally filled with love for Krishna in her heart.She lived like a saint in her house. Saint means she lived in a simple and lovable way.She dressed like a queen. But in her mind she thought that she was one of the gopi of bhagwan Sri Krishna.There is nothing wrong in that. Bhagwan just wants your heart filled with true love.
Everything is given by bhagwan.But unfortunately the ordinary people (samsaris) totally forget Bhagwan Sri Krishna when they are enjoying the worldly things.That is the reason ordinary people are not able to enjoy the perfect happiness in this world.But bhaktas are always thinking about bhagwan only, even when they enjoying any worldly or heavenly things. Because bhagwan is everything for them.
According to Swami Nammazhwaar 'the food, the water, the leaf (veththalai) everything is bhagwan' - 'unnum soru parugum neer thinnum vetrilai ellam kannan' (thiruvaimozhi) so bhaktas enjoy all these with krishna smaranam....
This is the way Sakhubai lead her life.As she grew older, her parents wanted to get her married.They searched for a suitable boy for Sakhubai.So many people came and saw Sakhubai.But none of them accepted the proposal and as none thought they could live with Sakhubai because she was a bhaktai. This world expects a girl must be a doll for them to enjoy as they wish. Many of the people don't even consider women as a human beings.Hare krishna!!!!! But bhagwan takes care of all.
Atlast one man came and saw Sakhubai and was v much impressed by Sakhubai's attitude. He wanted to marry Sakhubai.Bhagwan will surely take care those who have surrendered fully to him.The name of the groom was Krishna Sharma. The marriage took place nicely.Sakhubai accepted the fact of the life.She married him and went to her in-laws place nearby Pandharpur.[Bhagwan Sri Vittal's place]
Sakhubai behaved nicely, honoured and treated all her in-laws with respect.Everybody appreciated Sakhubai's calm and quiet nature. They were really proud of Sakhubai's presence in their house. All these things took place only for few months. But later things changed....in-laws and husband of Sakhubai started taunting her for bhakti and namasankeerthan all the time.They started torturing Sakhubai in many ways.
Krishna Sharma scolded her for no reason.Her mother-in-law behaved like a devil.She was a sadist and she troubled Sakhubai in many ways.But young Sakhubai accepted these facts as it is. Its very tough to accept these torture's for no reason.But Sakhubai was a bhaktai of Bhagwan Sri Krishna.She had that strong mind to control her feelings and anger.She made up her mind as that Bhagwan Sri Krishna is playing with her like a mother in law.
Its very tough to understand this way of mind approach.To understand this positive attitude of mind one must do bakthi. Then only one can understand.One must have generate time for bakthi.But there is no need to become a sanyasi to understand and apply this positive attitude towards life. Just be in our place.Do our duties and also continuous chanting.Then one day surely one will get that positive attitude at all negative incidents.Anyone can live if everything is perfect.But what is the thrill in it!!?? One must have the patience to play the game called life.
Everybody around Sakhubai was purely selfish minded people. But Sakhubai adjusted with those people and at the same time she treated them with respect & obeyed them, who were torturing her at all times.
This is the exact way of living. Messing up the things and divorcing are very easy. But what is the use? Nowadays divorces are v common. Some women don't understand the real value of patience.This is not like a slavery.This is the true love.Yes! This is called true love. Chatting and dating are not the tradition. Issuing divorce notice is very easy. But changing a man from his misbehaviour is something greater than divorce.Just think how Sakhubai had the courage to face everything in the life as it came.
If somebody is calm and patient even though after being taunted and tortured, the world thinks that they are coward.Those who are strong and courageous will be calm at all times.
Sakhubai was Bhagwan Sri Krishna's devotee.So her mind was so strong and ready to face all the situtations of life. Radhekrishna!!!!!! This is the power of bhakti.This is the power of chanting. This is the power of bhaktas. This is the power of great Indian woman.This is the greatness of Indian traditon.This is the real power of great Hinduism.
Sakhubai chanted all the times more vigorously after the tortures and mind blowing incidents masterplanned by her husband and inlaws.One day she went to a pond to get drinking water. At that time some bhaktas danced in the streets singing Krishna bhajans.Sakhubai felt very happy after seeing those bhaktas.Do you know to which place those bhaktas were travelling to? Just wait for August, be patient, be calm, be a bhakta, do chanting like Sakhubai and one day you will be certainly honoured in life in an appropriate way by Bhagwan Sri Krishna. Radhekrishna!!
Radhekrishna! Last month we all could get some of the secrets of real happiness, which is revealed by bhagwan Sri Krishna in Srimath Bagawath Geetha.How great He is!!!He is our well-wisher. Do you know which is the main literature or shastra of our great hinduism? For every religion there must be a book to tell their thoughts and ideas about the life and supreme god. You may be aware of other religion's main books, which illustrates their philosophy. So many people think that in hinduism there is no particular book to tell. This is wrong. We are having bundles of books about philosophy. This is the greatness of hinduism. Eventhough we are having so many books to know the philosophy, three of them are very important. They are called as "prasthaana thrayam". Keep this in your mind. If anybody from other religion is taunting you about the main book of hinduism you have to tell this and save the glory of hinduism. The three literatures in "prasthaana thrayam" are brahma soothram, upanishad and srimath bagawath geetha.of these three sri math Bhagawat Geetha is very great. There is no need to know the other two if you know Srimath Bhagawat Geetha very well.It's more than enough. It's very short in text but an ocean of endless messages. By reading Bhagawat Geetha daily, anyone can easily win the world. By knowing the exact meaning of Srimath Bhagawat Geetha anyone can lead an emperor's royal life without any hurdles and sufferings. Reading Srimath Bhagawat Geetha will clear your doubt and confusions about the world, soul, and supreme personality perfectly. Just read Srimath Bhagawat Geetha and realise yourself. Just hear Srimath Bhagawat Geetha and realise bhagwan or the supreme personality. Just think Srimath Bhagawat Geetha and enjoy the ultimate happiness of life. In the ninth chapter bhagwan Sri Krishna tells a great secret to come out from all sufferings and sorrows. Manmanaa bhava madhbaktho madhyagee maam namaskuru Maamevaishyasi yukthvaivam aathmaanaam mathparaayana: [9-34] fix your mind on me, be my devotee, worship me, bow down to me thus keep your heart unto me and accept me as your ultimate goal
by doing this you will attain me. Accept these words of bhagwan Sri Krishna as your well-wisher's words. Don't doubt this.Apply this great idea and enjoy the happiness. It's very simple.
When you are accepting bhagwan Sri Krishna as your well-wisher then it is very easy to fix your mind to him. When you are fixing your mind on bhagwan then automatically you will become a devotee of bhagwan Sri Krishna. Becoming a devotee of bhagwan Sri Krishna means you are going to be the owner of the treasure of happiness. Worship him with devotion and accept him as your king. Then bow down to him. This will liberate you from all sins. When all the sins are vanished your heart is empty. Now keep your aim as bhagwan Sri Krishna. When the aim is fixed naturally your mind will work towards the goal.By this you can easily attain the supreme personality of the universe. See how easy this method is. Apply this method and realise bhagwan Sri Krishna in you and everywhere.For this you must have an unconditional faith with the bhagwan Sri Krishna. Why don't you try? But none of the words are giving peace of mind. Why? Those words are not proper or they are not spelled in a proper way at a proper place to a proper person. So then which particular word will give us peace of mind and happiness in our day-to-day life? The best word in this world is Bhagawan's name. That is Krishna and other names of Bhagawan. By repeating these names of Bhagawan will give us enormous amount of strength and stamina without fail. By chanting Bhagawan's name we will be able to speak proper words only at the proper time to the proper persons in a appropriate place in a good way. This is not magic. This is real science. You can test this by chanting. Test and then agree. But this is the foolproof method. This is the secret revealed by great saints of great Hinduism of ever-great country called Hindustan. 3. Seyal [Deed Or Action] Everyday we are doing so many works in our life. From birth to death we are supposed to do work. The great design engineer called Bhagawan Sri Krishna designed our human body like this to save the universe. But by continuous work almost everybody is losing their stamina and strength. To maintain the same stamina and strength at all ages and all conditions just do all the work for the sake of Bhagawan Sri Krishna. By doing this you can feel the power of surrendering and doing karma for the Bhagwan. Surrender all your actions to Bhagawan Sri Krishna and enjoy the power of Bhagawan. Pray to Bhagawan at all times to keep your actions in good way according to his wishes. Surely He will guide you at all the times. Why don't you apply this in your daily life and enjoy Bhagawan’s presence with you? These are the three great qualities with us from birth to death. This is our own property. Just use this property as told by Swami Nammazhwar.Just surrender these three to Bhagawan Sri Krishna and cut off all attachments. Actually speaking by surrendering these three qualities you will be liberated from all bondages and attachments automatically. Don't waste your own property anymore.Utilize now itself and enjoy the calmness and peace in your mind. See the greatness of Hindu saints.They are just revealing the great secret ideas of happiness. Radhekrishna!!! This is to share our experiences with our friends of Radhekrishna Sathsangam. We consider them the most nearest as they belong to Sathsang and we all are connected through our Guruji Amma! How true it is that Namajapam works as a tonic as our sister (Latha Sreenivasan) from Mumbai shared her experience during her pregnancy. We are under the kind attention of Guruji Amma almost for six to seven years. During these years we have been able to realise many of our material wants and desires. But above all that we cherish more the divine presence of Amma and her protective influence in our lives. We cherish more the way she has taught us how to look at life. We are learning more and more under her divine presence. As stated above, I say we got Amma's Darshan only seven years ago. My husband was alone somewhere in Africa. Me and my children were at another end in India. We were really having a hard time and we both were doing many poojas,Abhishekams and fasting etc etc. That was when I had the opportunity to listen to the upanyasams of Brahmasri Mahan Gopalavallidasan on Thiruppavai. How true that we think some thing is bad for us and we get almighty's blessings in disguise. We are happy that we had tough times and had done all those pujas which came to the notice of our Sathguru and especially we are able to reach her lotus feet. That is the first time we realised that there is always blessing of almighty which we cannot see or realise thinking that it is the problem created or thinking that GOD is testing us. After that we had so many experiences which will take many days to talk about. Each and every person might have their own experiences with the ONE inside him and with that relationship they want to experience HIM after they have met our Guruji Amma. I can swear that no one can get these type of experiences except the one who are blessed by Sathguru. We started greeting and thanking each other within our family with the name "RADHEKRISHNA!!" taught by our Guru. It was merely a name while we started and after that it has become everything for us. When we were happy, when we were sad and when we were weak we started chanting namajapam as taught by our Guru. Surprisingly we could feel and get the strength from some where and we knew it is from some where beyond what we as human beings can reach or understand. It is beyond the logic but the only logic and only the one logic which no one can explain. It is as much unexplainable as the relationship of Guru and Sishya which no one can see or understand and which is limited to the one who is giving and the other who is receiving it. We have observed so many people becoming happier in India and Kampala (East Africa) merely replying our greeting as Radhekrishna!! My husband, our children and myself by merely doing namajapam and adoring the lotus feet of guruji Amma are able to achieve so many things and able to overcome hurdles with out our efforts and each and every time, in fact, each and every minute wondering about the kindness of our Guruji Amma!! What ever we pray for we get that. All our wishes are fulfilled with the Guru kataksham and now we know if some thing is not done either it might be harmful or unnecessary for us. The misunderstandings, generation gaps, ego problems, communication gap, physical problems nothing is bothering us now. Even if they bother us we do namajapam. We don't even have to explain or give explanations. It vanishes like fog with the rays of rising Sun. There are so many miracles which happened in the past few years of being with Amma. We were able to hear and feel her presence wherever we are. So many alertings (hecharikas) were there. Some we followed and got out of that difficulty. And in some we didn't and had the loss. Though the losses were small by the grace of GURU who protected us as Krishna saved Arjuna from Nagasthra, the lesson we got is a BIG one. Never to ignore the hecharikas of Guruji Amma for any reason, who is constantly watching and protecting us. One of our countless experiences with Amma and the most recent miracle happened in our happy lives after we met her. My elder daughter was writing her public exams. We stay in a place about 45 minutes drive from the school. Since the exams were one-hour papers, I had to escort her to the exams and come back with her in a car driven by company driver. My husband would be in office during that time. One night I got a message (from Guruji Amma from inside) that I should not take her to school the following day. The only other option was for my husband to take her in his car. I pleaded Guruji Amma to allow me to go as usual. She didn't give me her consent. Based on my previous experiences with Amma's cautions, I requested my husband to take her to the school. Although it was inconvenient for my husband, he organised some work in the city where the exams were held, and left for Kampala that day with my daughter. My daughter wrote the exams and all was well. As he had to finalise the office work with some colleagues, he asked them to come to the City in the company car, which I would have used had I taken my daughter to school. This car developed serious mechanical problems on the way and stopped. It took several hours for the car to be repaired. We have read in Bhagavatham that people of Brindavan were safe under the Govardhana Giri which was lifted by Krishna merely with his little finger while there was storm every where outside of the shade of that giri. Are we the same people under the protection of Guruji Amma now! RADHEKRISHNA!! until Amma makes me write again. An ever-grateful disciple of Gurujiamma from Uganda.....

Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas the other fellow people also reap the benefits......... Queen Kunthi, the wife of king Pandhu of Hasthinapura. The mother of great Yudhistra, Bheema, Arjuna and Karna. The great devotee and aunt of bhagawan Sri Krishna. The young widow who faced a lot of problems to bring up her children in a good way. The great woman who treated her husband's second wife's sons Nakula and Sahadeva as her own children. The great courageous devotee of bhagawan Sri Krishna who asked a boon of hurdles in her life to see bagawan. The great lady of example for sacrifice who rescued a brahmin family from a rakshas (monsters) by sending her own son Bheema. The woman who served her brother-in-law king Dhrutharashtra and his wife Gandhaari during their last days who troubled her in many ways. Krishanya Vaasudevaya Devakee Nandhanaaya cha! Nandhagopa Kumaaraaya govindaaya namo namaha!!! Salutations to king Vasudeva's son, Devaki's child, Nandagopa's foster son, named as Govinda alias bhagawan Sri Krishna. Radhekrishna! We are gifted to be with a great Mahathma Poojya Shree Shree Amma in this Kaliyuga.Poojya Shree Shree Amma's birthday was celebrated grandly with bhajans and namasankeerthans and sathsangam in gurujiamma's residence in Chennai by bhaktas. Many bhaktas came to Poojya Shree Shree Amma's residence on that auspicious day and received divine blessings from gurujiamma. The bhaktas who were away from Chennai made a phone call to Poojya Shree Shree Amma and got blessed. Radhekrishna!!!!!! Bhaktas hearts were filled with divine sanctity after having heard Gurujiamma's divine words on that great day.
Poojya Shree Shree Amma's birthstar was celebrated in Dombivli by her sishyas in Mumbai at Sri.T.S Venkateswaran's residence in a very grand manner. Mumbai bhaktas gathered there and recited gurujiamma's bhajans. Everybody enjoyed the great day even though they were physically away from Chennai. But their souls are always with Poojya Shree Shree Amma. So they felt the sanctity and krupai of Gurujiamma during the bhajan. Everybody wished that next birthstar of gurujiamma must come quickly to enjoy the same happiness.
The pravachanam of Mahan Brahmashree Gopalavallidasan at Sri Dhanaushkodi Kothanda Ramar temple was very much enjoyed by all the bhaktas .Swami Ramanuja Vaibhavam melted the hearts of bhaktas.Bhaktas requested Mahan Brahmashree Gopalavallidasan to continue the sathsangam in the temple whenever he is in Chennai and to stay longer there to do more and more pravachanams.They want to hear more and more heart melting sathsangam from him which gives a boost to live a spiritual life.
Pravachanam after Saturday bhajans was simply superb! Different stories of bhaktas were enjoyed by the bhaktas.
